WWW

Logical system of access and search of the information available on the Internet, whose informative units are the Web pages.

INTRANET

Internal computer network of a company or organization, based on Internet standards, in which computers are connected to one or more Web servers.

PROTOCOL

A set of communication rules that govern the exchange of information between two computers or systems connected to each other.

HTTP

Abbreviation of the English form Hypertext Transfer Protocol, ' Hypertext Transfer Protocol ', which is used in some Internet addresses.

HOSTING

Hosting is a service that you can associate your domain with. If you have a domain, you will most likely want to have a Web page, or to have mail accounts under your own domain.

FIREWALL

Computer program that controls the access of a computer to the network and of elements of the network to the computer, for security reasons. 

FIRMWARE

The firmware is a block of machine instruction for specific purposes, recorded in a memory, usually read/write, which sets the logic of the lowest level that controls the electronic circuits of a device of any kind.
